Winter Springs are here!
Fishing over the past few days has been excellent. Folks fishing in Whirl Bay and Constance bank have been doing very well. We haven’t had any reports right from Pedder Bay but the fish are here.
Successful fishing gear has been Purple Haze hoochies and squirts, Anchovies with white and green glow heads and spoons like the Cop Car or Night Rider Coyote. Try fishing this gear anywhere from 50 ft to 180 ft deep and over smooth sandy bottomed areas. If you are confident enough, drop your down rigger balls to the bottom over a sandy area and troll just off the bottom. The disturbance the ball and flashers make on the bottom are a calling card for the fish!
There are a few Chum Salmon being caught out there as well. These fish are great fresh on the BBQ or in the smoker.
When you come down to the marina, stop in to the Coffee House for a coffee and lunch.
