New Year Word on the Dock

Winter Spring fishing has been very good over the holidays, fish up to 14 lbs have been brought in. Pedder Bay has been a producer as well as Whirl bay and Constance Bank (if you don’t mind the run).

Fish have been caught using all the usual suspects, purple haze Squirts, white glow squirts, Cop Car Coyotes and Anchovies with green glow heads. We are carrying a new to us Krippled ‘TM’ spoon that has been working very well. Look for it in our tackle section.

During the month of January and possibly early February we will be dredging around the marina. Our intent is to keep at least one lane of the boat launch available on ht e weekends. Please call us to make sure the launch will be available on the week days.


Things to watch for in this coming year:

Halibut fishing, opening day scheduled for February 1st.  Keep an eye on "Word on the Dock" for a listing of what the good current days will be for halibut fishing.

Pink salmon fishery, latest predictions for the returning pink run is 42 million Pinks this is twice what the fantastic 2009 fishery was.

The RV Resort will be opening up March 1st for the season. Perfect for a halibut or early salmon expedition for a weekend or more. This year we will be a monthly rate for our Standard and Premium sites. Drop us a line for more information.
