Salmon Fishing

Salmon are starting to be found at the normal summer fishing spots and depths. Church Rock has produced some nice fish as of late. Anchovies with the new Bullet Roll Heads from Rhys Davis in some of the clear series such as Purple Haze and Chartreuse are the current successful choices. Personal favorites here with the crew are coyote spoons especially if the current is flowing hard. Where bait tears apart the spoon works very effectively.

The salmon regulations are in constant flux right now please check frequently to make sure that you are on the good side of the law. Remember when you are cleaning your fish to leave evidence of size and if large enough proof that the where the adipose fin was there is a “healed scar.”

The regulations are currently two Chinook per day. Any fish that is over 26” must be hatchery. Fish between 18” and 26” can be hatchery or wild.

Halibut Fishing

Regulations are currently one halibut per day.
