Salmon
Pinkies are everywhere! And there are more coming! Get the kids/grandkids/neighbours out and show them why you love sportfishing so much.
Chinook are out there as well stay closer to the shore and fish in the 75 to 95 foot depths. Thy using flashers that have green and gold like the Betsy and the Supper Betsy. For terminal tackle try Anchovies. If you are getting a tired of all the pinks go to using a Coyote spoon or Army truck Hoochy’s.
For the Pinks use a pink or red flasher and of course a small pink hoochie. If you want to get a little more sport with the pink buy a mini flasher. Or set up dummy flashers and use pink or red terminal tackle such as spoons or apex’s that have their own action. This way when the fish hits there is no flashers to cause drag and reduce the fight.
Cohos are limited to two per day HATCHERY ONLY. People are getting their fish while fishing for pinks. If you want to target the Cohos just speed up to 2 to 3 knots and keep the leaders short.
A few Chum have been caught out there as well as Sockeye. Remember Sockeye are CLOSED.
