Some very respectable Chinook have come in the past few days. On the 29th of March a 25 lb Chinook was brought in by Shaun Heron. Shaun caught his fish in Pedder Bay. Fishing has also been successful for Chinook in Whirl Bay.
Halibut fishing for the month is looking very good. On top of that April is usually the big fish month. Looking forward to seeing some barn doors to come in. march 29th proved to be a great day for all a couple of guys went out and got 6 halis ranging from 25-50 lbs. That was a great day. The fish were found to have a lot of crab in their gut. Something to keep in mind when hali hunting.
For those who don’t have a boat no worries we have a rental fleet that can get you out fishing in no time. Let us look after the moorage and maintenance while you get the fun of boating. We rent fishing gear including rods/reels and down riggers. There is an advantage to getting your PCOC (Pleasure craft operators card) but it is not mandatory if you go through the rental boat check list. This check list substitutes for the PCOC for the day of boating.

Almost everyday of April looks to have some great fishable tides. Lets see if we can’t break some records here this spring.
