Pedder Bay Marina proudly maintains the largest and most affordable fleet of rental boats on Vancouver Island.
Choose from 16′ Hourstons or Double Eagle watercraft, both comfortable and easy to manoeuvre. Pedder Bay is minutes from fantastic salmon, halibut and bottom fishing, and we've got everything you need for your trip right here.
If sightseeing is more your speed you can take a trip filled with breath-taking scenery, Killer whales, bald eagles, otters, porpoises and colonies of huge sea lions in their natural habit.

Boat Rentals
Pedder Bay has a fleet of well-maintained and easy-to-handle Hourston and Double Eagle boats.
Before you set out on your fishing or site seeing trip, we'll go over a detailed boat safety checklist with you. You do not need to have a Pleasure Craft Operator's Card to rent a boat at Pedder Bay.
16′ Fibreglass Hourston Runabouts
- 40 hp 4-stroke electric start, ½ canvas top, windshield, steering and controls up front, emergency kit, paddles
- Rental includes net, rod holders, gaff, vest style lifejackets, fish tub and map
16′ Fibreglass Double Eagle Runabouts
Up to six people, two hour minimum rental.
- 50 hp 4-stroke electric start, ½ canvas top, windshield, steering wheel and controls up front, emergency kit, paddles
- Rental includes net, rod holders, gaff, vest style lifejackets, fish tub, compass and map

Fuel is charged on a per-use basis — insurance and taxes are extra.
Gear Rental
Tackle box and a rod & reel rental is available for $12.00/trip. Downriggers are $10.00 each/trip
Other items also available for rental — call 250-478-1771 to enquire.
Any rental equipment that is lost or damaged is charged for upon return from trip. Unfortunately, insurance is not available for gear rentals.
Insurance
Damage protection insurance is recommended for the boat and motor. It is the responsibility of the renter to ensure the proper care of the vessel and that the guidelines set out are followed correctly.
Insurance is $10.
